Description |
Stone tea pot and six small cups made from fossil rich rock. Extended Visual Description Pot has a thin slab handle and an exposed spout. The lid has a gold hued trim and a hinge. The stone seems to be mostly light tan sedimentary rock with darker areas of fossilized minerals, plants, animals and shells. The lid is carved into three levels, almost looking like a bishop's chess piece. Lid is also not exactly centered, it leans toward the spout. Rough spots exposed at spout attachment and handle attachment. Other colors in pot include: golden yellow, spots of pink, dark brown, and a dart forest green. There are many shells visible in the Material the pot is made from, including snails and clams. A gold hued metal (possibly brass, or bronze) top the top of the pot and the bottom of the lid. Hinge is visible and working, sits right above the handle. Six small tea cups accompany this tea pot, they are also made of the fossilized rock, and are about 5cm wide and 4.5cm tall. They all have a different design on the,\,\m, but are all the same shape and size. Their colors range; light tan, brown, and forest green.Animals visible are snails, snakes, clams, and possibly a jaw of a small animal. 3 of the 6 cups have cracks, but still seem to be useful. The outside of the cups are shiny seem to be glazed, but the inside is matte and slightly dusty. |
