Description |
Steatite knife with bone handle. Collected 100 miles south of the Point Barrow Whaling Station. Extended Visual Description Knife. Bone (?) handle with white (ivory?) rivets. Bone colored dark brown and rectangular in shape. Handle made of two pieces of bone held together by white rivets. Blade is a flat ground stone (steatite?) point, similar to a harpoon point. Blade is loose and tends to shift when object is moved. |
