Description |
Corn husk gathering bag, possibly for root gathering. Plateau, Sahaptin. Quickly made and used available material. Features plain twining. Cultural identification by Mary Dodds Schlick. Extended Visual Description Corn husk bag used for gathering. The top border of the bag is blue and tan plaid. The handles are broken and badly frayed. The colors of the bag are blue, tan, red and black. There is a patch that was done to the bag using black fabric on the bottom right of the bag. This spot continues through to the other side. |
