Description |
Broken fish hook, carved from ivory. Alaska. Extended Visual Description V shaped object. Possible a fish Hook. Half of one of the limbs is missing. There is an intentional hole at the end of the intact limb. Top of hook flares out and has an indent on both sides of the flare. Color is yellow/tan. Some discoloration on intact limb. Number 29 written in black marker on the intact limb. Front side of the hook is brighter than back side (back = Accession number location). Discoloration on back of the top flare. Hook is very smooth except for back of flare. The break on the missing limb show a slight crack. |
