Description |
Woven cedar basket from an artist of the Quinault Indian Nation. Has a plaited cedar base with dyed cedar decoration in the form of vertical and horizontal bands. Very fragile. Extended Visual Description Object is a light brown basket. Woven construction. Design is black and brown rows around with two double red vertical rows on each long side. Rim is plaited in god condition. Large broken area on left just below rim. Beginning to break near rim on right front and on right side. Bottom coming loose on left front corner and broken on right side. Number stitched to bottom. |
