Description |
Lidded basket with geometric designs. Made of willow and devil's claw. Museum documentation suggests this may be an Apache or Pima basket. Extended Visual Description Medium sized basket, rounded bottom. Halfway from the top, the basket curves in then up creating a wide bottle neck feature. The basket is a light brown color with dark brown markings. The lid is the same light brown color with dark brown markings, On the lid there are three circles one within each others with the middle on the lid as their center. On the basket the markings are straight lines creating rectangular shapes forming layers up the sides. The inside of the basket is slightly darker due to the lack of sunlight. The bottom of the basket is dark and looks dirty from use when the basket was created. The basket is made of a plant/organic material. |
